Why does Mardom Decor not offer free returns?

At Mardom Decor, transparency and sustainability are at the centre of everything we do. We are aware that the question of free return shipping is important to many customers. That's why we want to openly explain why we don't do this - and what environmentally friendly alternatives we offer.

Our products - such as skirting boards, wall panels and stucco mouldings - are generally classed as bulky goods consignments. Due to their length, weight and delicate surfaces, these items are much more complex to transport than conventional parcelled goods. Return shipping therefore incurs considerable logistics and packaging costs that are disproportionate to small-format products such as clothing or accessories.

But the main reason is not just the cost factor:

✔ Sustainability & environmental protection - Every return shipment means additional CO₂ emissions. To avoid unnecessary transport, we rely on a well thought-out system of free product samples.

✔ Better purchasing decision - The free sample order allows you to see the colour, texture and quality for yourself in advance. This helps you avoid bad purchases and returns.

✔ Fairness for all customers - Instead of passing on the high return shipping costs to all items, we keep our product prices fair and transparent.

We know that free returns are standard in many industries. However, for bulky construction and furnishing products such as our high-quality mouldings and panels, this would be both ecologically and economically unacceptable. Our aim is to work with you to use resources and the environment responsibly.

However, if you are not satisfied with a product, our customer service team will be happy to help you at any time. We examine every return individually and find a fair solution together.
